Hello Ladies, hope you and your LO's are all well :flower:

I hope you don't mind me posting in here when i'm still in 2nd tri with #1, but I thought you'd all be the best people to ask!

My birthday is coming up and I thought I'd ask my OH to treat me to a really nice changing bag...so I was just after your recommendations (or which ones to avoid) and any tips when buying one!

If you have time, I'd love to hear your thoughts!!

Thank you :hugs:

Cath kidston do lovely ones. I have one now and its fab, but as DS gets older i can imagine it will be a bit more tight for space. i know the pink lining ones are meant to be popular though!

I have an il tutto Nico in navy blue I love it!

This website is very good for higher end bags and their customer service is great. My bag when I got it had a scratch on it even though it was wrapped and they sent me a new one for next day delivery they also have discount codes all the time.

Thank you both and thanks for that link too!!

At the moment I haven't even manage to decide on the style  part of me wants something super cute like the pink lining yummy mummy ones....but then I think further down the road will I actually prefer one that looks more like a handbag?

Really appreciate your help! :flower:

I love the pink lining yummy mummy bag but prebaby we were on a tight budget and we just use the mamas and papas changing bag that came with our pram. I don't know if it's just us but my OH and I were talking the other day and we actually laughed about how much we stressed out over getting a nice changing bag and now with Lily being 2 weeks old we don't actually care, it's just a case of throwing things into it, lol.
Unless you're sure you want a changing bag I would think about spending the money on something special for yourself, something not baby orientated!
Go get a massage, buy something to soak your feet in (you'll love this when you get into third tri) or have a nice day out!

Pink lining is defo a good one! Having said that I'm sure many bags have the same sorts of things. The things I would look for in a bag now I have had the benefit of experience are lots of pockets, they have been the most useful, specifically pockets for different things like bottles and nappies, nappy bags, dummies etc, also handy to have travel change mat in the bag so if it comes with it so much the better really! Apart from that, space I guess as you'll be carrying around several onesies "just in case" for a few weeks at least lol! Even now I have a few spares in mine lol

I have a pink lining Yummy Mummy one and I love it! It fits enough in it for my baby and my toddler so I wouldn't be without it. I actually managed to set mine on fire last week (left it on top of the cooker, biggest stupid moment ever.. Resulted in a full on kitchen fire).. OH bought me another yummy mummy cause he knew how gutted I'd be about losing it. X

I have a Cath Kidston changing bag which I love using, so many different designs to choose from! Love the way the front bit detaches and folds out to a changing mat. And inside there's a mini zip up bag which you can take out I use for nappies n wipes and portable insulated bottle holder. Love the little compartments inside. Would highly recommend!

Pink lining but blooming gorgeous instead of yummy mummy as its a tad bigger!

Thanks for all the advice ladies :flower:

Tami I know what you mean cos my friend was on about pacapods and I thought in reality am I really going to be bothered to put things inside a bag that goes inside a bag  it's also our anniversary coming up so I may well drop hints about a massage for that :haha:

OMG Amy!!!!! That's so sweet your OH bought you another one - I shall make a mental note not to put any bag on the cooker!!

I'm going to have a proper look at the pink lining and CK ones now!

xx

I had a few Pink Lining changing bags. Pretty designs, perfect sizes and good quality! x

Really loving the Pink Lining ones! Trying to decide between Yummy Mummy and Blooming Gorgeous...and then need to convince OH as I think it will be a teeny bit more than he was expecting!!!!

Thanks Ladies :flower: x

You may want to wait a couple of weeks on the pink lining bag as they normally announce there autumn/winter line at this time of year! :)

I bought a pretty expensive jj cole bag and its ok... But then I did what u said and decided I wanted a more fashionable bag rather then a dedicated changing bag...

I saw this and loved it.
I'm not a big kardashian person and usually get more expensive brands tbh but this had awesome pockets on the inside and three zipper compartments and its working awesome :)

Plus I got the purse to match haha

Yeah I thought that may be the case because all the ones on their website are now in the sale...frustratingly not the colour that I REALLY love! So was wondering if it may be better to wait as it would be just my luck for the new ones to come out and there be one I love even more!! xx

I LOVE your sig, what a gorgeous photo, he's a real cutie!!

Thanks for this, I'll bear it in mind that I probably am gonna change my mind again :dohh: but the last few years I've only ever had one handbag really - a smart (black) one for work cos they tend to go with everything else... so I guess I'm also seeing this as a chance to finally have a bag that's more pretty and fun. I'm thinking if I do change my mind....that's a Valentine's Day pressie sorted :winkwink: x

I had a pink lining back which was brill and still use but then I wanted a changing bag that looked like a handbag. So then I bought the storksak Elizabeth. Love both! X

Don't limit yourself to one! ;)

I have a JuJuBe BeAll for when I want everything with me and it all organised precisely. It is very changing bag looking.

Then an OiOi Buffalo in pink. It's big, good pockets but doesn't look very baby ish.

Also a BabyMel satchel that doesn't look babyish at all and is perfect for a short outing.

I will also be getting more I'm sure. ;) Bag fetish!
