Best Double Stroller??

We have gone for the bugaboo donkey twin. We looked around for ages and it's the only one that I was able to manoeuvre and take apart myself. It's so light and easy to use and is actually quite light for a side by side. It was the most expensive one but they seem to hold their value when people sell them on. Therefore I'm seeing it as an investment! And we managed to get an extra 10% off the package price!

My in-laws offered to buy the stroller (only reason we ended up with the StrollAir) but DH kept trying to push for the donkey, lol

So I found a used Baby Jogger City Select with 2nd seat used for $400. She said its only 6 month old and they don't use it anymore because they moved to a hilly area and don't walk many places anymore. I am going to check it out after work. I am sooo scared to actually make the purchase! I feel like its too soon to make such a big purchase for the babies as I am not even 18 weeks yet. But it seems like a good deal if its in good condition. And is this the stroller we really want?

Is it weird to buy it this soon? I think we have settled on wanting tandem and not side by side...

I feel silly for even asking these questions! Its just a stroller!!

So I bought it! I got it for $390 and I am super excited. I just found on line that there is a highchair adapter and you can take the seats off and attach them to the table. I think that is pretty cool...

I've got the baby jogger double buggy! I must say I love it, so easy to push and very light. Can fit through everywhere, even on a bus. Which I didn't think it would do. I bought the carrycots with it aswell as you can take the seat unit off to attatch the carrycots. Folds flat aswell. Can fit the frame and 2 carrycots in the boot of a car. If you want the easiest double you can find that will last for a gd few years then this is the one:) I've attatched some pics

We've gone for this one too! Very lucky as my parents have bought it and thought along the same lines as you that it should hold its value and I think it'll be easy to sell on. Also, if we decide to have a third we can still use it as it converts to a single.
Its so easy to push too.
We get it in 2 or 3 weeks, very excited!!:happydance:

i have got the baby jogger city select double (in purple <3) and also the baby jogger city mini. i love them both for different reasons.

i think that the carry cots are a bit of a waste of time really - we got them for the city selct but they were used twice. our twins had a bit of reflux and lying flat just was not a good idea!

i love my select for the shops and getting them out of the car quickly either still in car seats or in the main seats but for going for a walk you can't beat the city mini whch i bought a bit later!

good luck i bet your new select is the first of many strollers!

I think getting the carrycots for that pram is essential really as most twins will arrive early! And like mine did I wouldn't have had a buggy to use without the carrycots as they are far too small for the pushchair. The bugaboo donkey is nice aswell , I was aiming towards that when I tried my 1yr old nephew in it in the shops and he was very squashed. So really would only last the first year then you would have to buy a buggy.

i found i just used the car seats all the time instead of the carry cots as they much preferred that positon but i suppose it depends on the babies! mine were 4.8 and 5.3 when they were born :flower:

DH & I looked everywhere and kept going back to the bugaboo donkey, we have been really lucky and had lots of things passed to us so we sort of justified the cost of it as its so expensive.....we also managed to get a price match from mothercare and had £200 knocked off...Happy Days
its getting delivered in 2 weeks so can't wait to have it all set up & hopefully if i manage to keep it clean ill get a decent price when we sell it on - thats the plan anyways :)

we have the 'out and about nipper 360 double', I love it, it fits through 99 percent of doors and was a reasonable price too for a double. it is so light and easy to push.

Gosh you are all so lucky to have so much variety where you are from! Here in South Africa there are very few twin prams/ strollers to choose from and they are all so rubbish and not sturdy and fancy like those :nope: We literally had a choice of about 3 and we wanted something durable that wouldn't only last for a year, so we went with the Maclaren Twin Triumph (which was still an imported item btw!) We are so limited that we wanted the charcoal black and we couldn't get it. The supplier could only get red! We realise it's not totally ideal as it does not fully recline but it almost does (to 15 deg or something) so that's what we went with. DH's logic was that it's compact, others here are very bulky and don't even fit through standard doorways. What sold it for me was that I won't be going out much with babies before they are 6-8 weeks and for those trips we'll take the carseats, campcots or baby carriers. When they are about 3 months we reckon it should be fine to start using the prams fully. It was hard for us with so little choice so we simply have to be satisfied with what we got.

Here are some pics:

Anyone ever tried the Bob Stroller Strides Fitness Stroller Duallie? My OH wants that one. Here is a link to it:

https://www.bobgear.com/strollerstridesduallie

Found this list of top ten recommended three-wheel twin strollers (we like this type):

https://multiples.about.com/od/stroller1/tp/twinjogstroll.htm

Lots on there that I have never seen.

We would love to find one that has a ledge in the back for my toddler to stand on when she gets tired of walking
