Hello to you all :)

I am still pregnant, so not BF'ing yet, but have really dry and cracked nipples. My OB told me to get some nipple cream. I tried Lansinoh's cream, but it's so thick and doesn't spread well, so it's really uncomfortable to apply, if that makes sense?

Do you have any suggestions on brands that are maybe a little bit thinner, or just easier to spread and put on?

Thanks!

I found it quite easier after I let it warm up in my fingers. I tried an easier to apply balm from bamboobies and it just didn't do the job like lanolin.

I agree with above. I've tried a few but nothing is as good as lanolin. I stick the tube between my legs while I'm feeding to warm it up 😃

I got a prescription from my doctor and it was amazing. I believe this is the cream she gave me:

I've heard earth mama baby (I think that's the name) is really good, haven't tried it yet but just ordered some!!

Stick to lanolin... After a few days your nipples will be softer and itll be easier

I found Lansinoh worked really well, I just had to warm it up between my fingers first and it made it easier to spread :flower:

I'd stick to lansinoh too as its the best one to use when baby has arrived as it doesn't need wiping or washing off before feeds (ouch!). Just rub it between your fingertips till it is softer and then apply. Try a small amount (half a pea sized) first and get a second layer if you need it. A large blob won't soften and will "clump" - think of a lip balm in a pot, you don't dig out a chunk and spread it thickly, you take off warmed layers that go on like and pile or grease.

Have you been given a reason for your chapped nipples? Do you maybe need a bigger bra so that they have a bit more room - (I know hormones often keep them permanently erect)?
