I think i may be here with rather a lot of questions in the next 6 months or so

What would you say is the best night nappy for newborns? I had thought, well i'm going to be awake every a few hours for feeding and changing anyhoo so i assumed that we can continue with her day nappy's at first?

But then, our maddi slept through from 4-6 weeks so perhaps this may go out the window! though i can't imagine Miss Roo would ever sleep like her sister

Advise would be fab please :D

I use a little lamb size 1 with or a tots bots bamboozle stretch ( I think that's what it's called anyway) both with a little lamb fleece liner and a little lamb wrap. Now she is nearly 3 months and sleeping up to 6-8 hours, I boost just at the front as she is a tummy sleeper, hope that helps.....
Oh, I also prefer the tots bots....feels lovely and soft, plus should last longer as it's a one size. x

I stick a sandy on Teddy before we go to bed at midnight and he's fine in that until nine in the morning. I use a fleece liner sometimes if he's had a bit of nappy rash, and I'll boost when he starts weeing a bit more, but I've never changed nappies at night and I'm not about to start now ;)

Our little lady has just started sleeping for longer stretches (7-8 hours) and, so far, we're loving the bamboo Close Parent pop-in, with a little lamb fleece liner. Not had to use a seperate night booster yet, just use the 2 inserts the nappy comes with. Not sure is these would be good on a smaller baby or not - we only tried these a couple of weeks ago (she's now 11lb8oz).
Even though we've washed our bamboo fitted loads they still end up completely wet if on too long, even with boosters. Might just need to wash the boosters more though...

thank you all, it seems all different things work for different babies, do you think it's worth me trying some different ways and different cloth boosted to see what works for us once she's here? (oh that's an exciting thought )

we used either a Little lamb , a tots bots stretchie or just a prefold with a bamboo booster all with wraps . now she is older and sttn we use a stretchie with an extra booster and a wrap/soaker :)

We used Tots Bots Bamboozle Stretchies from the start at night and never had to try any others but it's completely up to you :) I always change LO before his 4am feed but when he stops waking for that feed, I will just boost the nappy with Little Lamb bamboo booster and not bother waking him up to change him during the night. We use them with the following wraps and have never had a problem - Motherease Rikki/Airflow, Cotton Bottoms, Weehugeers & Bummi's super brites.

so when you use the prefold and the bamboo booster in a wrap, do you pad fold the prefold and put the booster inside or what??? I am trying to figure out the best way to boost a prefold in a wrap, but wasn't sure about putting something like a bamboo or help booster on top of the cotton bc I read somewhere they don't absorb urine as quickly as the cotton prefold or a microfiber booster. is that right? I would love advice as I have lots of cotton prefolds and a set of hemp wonderful boosters, and want to know how to best use them together when needed....

i used to lay the prefold flat and then put booster in the centre fold bit then do an angelwing fold - seemed to work fine for us i used a littlelamb bamboo booster :)

littlelambs are great for night time and i highly recommend using wool instead of wraps x

woo thanks for making this thread lol

ive bought tots bots stretchies to use so im glad to here they are good for night time too! ive also bought fleece wraps to use at night

Little lambs and bamboozles! I find thirsty duo and nature babies wraps better though as they have a double gussett and keep everything in!

Thank you all, sooooo useful!

Moomin have you brought pumpkin pants? i loved these for maddi and was wondering if they'd work as well?

Sam what wool would you recommend lovely? xxx

yes the fleece wraps ive bought are pumpkin pants but i havent used them yet as baby isnt here and ive not tried them on my toddler because i want him out of nappies so think hed enjoy them too much if he looked cool lol

lol he probably would hon! they are gorgeous! i think i may have to order some in small!

id opt for disnas if i was getting wool just caus they stretch so well to fit any extra boosting in

i have been buying some shorties and soakers from the facebook nappy groups and from cloth nappy tree... most of them are WAHM. Ive also just got some woolishious wash, lanolin & lanolin spray - they do the most amazing 'flavours' i got black raspberry and vanilla and it is divine!! The smell really lasts too - even with harrys ammonia morning bum!!

Oh sam, ammonia never smelt so good as what your describing

thanks lynne and sam, that really helps :D
