When I was pregnant with my first daughter I got horrific SPD. My midwife said that I needed to keep my hips moving etc. I struggled to carry the weight of the baby and ended up crippled every time I tried to walk. I found the perfect cure though! a week or so before it got reaaaally bad my OH had invested in the FULL Rock Band kit. Drums, guitar, everything......playing the drums helped no end.........also built up my arms a little. It eased the SPD pains because I was constantly moving yet I wasn't carrying the weight of my daughter.
I've got SPD this time and started to play the drums again. Told my midwife and she thought it was brilliant. Only problem is, unless you're a gamer like me and my OH it's not worth getting. Trying something that'll keep your legs moving without carrying the weight of the baby works wonders.
