Best Stroller for Twins

I really wanted the side by side too... but was more important to have the infant car seatsS so tandem with the snap n go, and then we will also get a double jogger, instead of stroller. We live next to a creek with great walking paths, and I have read that the joggers with bicycle tires are the smoothest.

Mbhg- As for the double snap n go... I haven't had them to use it yet :) . My SIL had it with my nephew, and totally loved it. We went to Disneyland when he was just 2 months old and it was great, seemed totally smooth, and he was happy and content while in there, able to sleep when he wanted. And yes, its very sturdy!!
The cool thing about this double is you can choose to have them both facing you, facing forward, or facing each other.. so even though they can't be side by side, when they are bigger, they can face towards each other!

I used to be a nanny and worked for several different families, so I have had experience with jogger strollers as well. They may have changed since I used them, but I found they were hard to turn and maneuver. I found myself straining even when the sidewalk curved. Does anyone know if this has improved?

I actually found this article about jogging strollers. Apparently, "true" jogging strollers are designed in a way that makes them difficult to turn. I personally found this to be a pain in the butt while just walking.

I think the "all terrain" jogger is what we are going with then. Because it does have a locking front swivel wheel. We have tried them, and they are very easy to maneuver. Looking at the baby trend double jogger.... I think its called an expedition? The other one we were looking at is the in step safari grand... and the double schwin... all are in the low to mid 200 range... there are plenty other that we would love, but have a hard time spending 400-600 on a jogger.... I'm not a runner... but I hope to do a little jog, walk, jog, walk exercise after the girls are here and we are all able.. :) lol

Sounds like a good idea! I guess I forgot about the all-terrain ones. :)

I just saw this online- don't know much about it, but if you want to get just one it looks like it sells for $249- not sure how the reviews are...

Elite Navigator Double Jogging Stroller

Wow, this is the first side by side double stroller I've seen that takes 2 car seats. I wonder if you need to buy their brand of car seats, or if they take different brands. In any case, this looks great for someone wanting a SBS jogger with travel system! Thanks for sharing, Cali!

i have got the baby jogger city select and also the baby jogger city mini i love both and they are both good for different uses. by the way the BJCS was the only tandem i could find where both could see equally and clearly out. the BJCM has great manouvreability and in great for walking.

Elite Navigator Double Jogging Stroller says it takes the "flex loc seat" which implies to me that is the ONLY seat it takes.. i think i may be leaning towards the snap and go when they are infants cause who cares that it is tandem they cant see more than a few inches anyway

I have the mounain buggy duet as previously mentioned. I didnt do the capsule set up but have seen it doen and they had no complaints. I only use the buggy if i know ill be using the buggy for more than an hour otherwise we carry the boys round in their capsules.

My duet is awesome for casual walks but works great in swamp like grass (new zealand for ya) The rain cover is so easy to put on and the sun shades are individual so dont have to have it over both of them. Both seats recline individually too. Holds heaps underneath and still fits through your standard door frame at only 63cms wide. Its incredibly easy to fold up and easy for me to lift into the boot of our van.:thumbup::thumbup::thumbup::winkwink::winkwink:

My friend has the bugaboo donkey and it's ace, very slim line, can have car seats side by side, carrycots and then turns to a pushchair, it also folds down to just a single pram/pushchair (in case you just take 1 out or ones walking etc), highly recommend it x
