Hello. Im new here- I have a daughter 7 weeks old. She has been on formula/bottles since 2 weeks. I have been pumping try to up my supply for the past week and a half. I notice my supply is increasing everyday. My problem is will I ever be able to get her on my breast. I try to put her on my breast pretty often normally during feeds--I give her some bottle then I try. Sometimes she will sometimes she wont. When she does actually suck I notice after a few sucks she gets frustrated because she doesnt get anything. How is that ever going to change? Doesnt it take a few minutes for your let down to occur? Is this possible to get a baby who has a flow preference to go back to slow flow of the bottle. I tried feeding from a cup--disaster and from eyedropper she just cries and cries. Then I did try a SNS feeding system that doesnt work either. She wants the fast flow of the bottle. Has anyone done this, is it possible? I am starting to get discouraged. I mean at the very least I will pump and feed her EBM, but I would really just like her to be at the breast because I dont know if I will be able to keep up pumping enough to satisfy her because I know that pumping isnt as effective as a baby. What should I do?
