BF my 2 yo while pregnant

He breastfeeds about three or four times a day and then at night while he's sleeping with me in the bed. It's definitely not like it used to be but that's to be expected since he gets most of his nutrition from solids. What I'm concerned about is if he's actually still getting any milk or is he just comfort nursing & not actually getting anything. I haven't felt a let-down nor have I had full breast for a long time now but he hasn't stopped nursing since he was born. I was curious and after he nursed a little bit I tried squeezing some milk out, it was very thick kind of like colostrum. Could I just be getting colostrum from being pregnant, or did he nurse all the milk out? I'm just concerned because I really still want him to get breast milk and it would come as a shock to me that I wasn't producing any actual milk all this time when we never actually stopped breastfeeding.

He could be dry nursing for comfort. My milk dried up during pregnancy but DD continued to dry nurse. I think she got tiny amounts but the main reason for her nursing was comfort.
Towards the end of my pregnancy the milk started to increase again so she upped her nursing.
He will be getting tiny amounts still if your milk has actually dried up, sometimes it just feels like it's dried up but the supply has just regulated.

Yeah I think it could be the hormones from pregnancy affecting the milk supply. It does still look white so I don't think it's colostrum but it's definitely a little more sticky than I'm used to. So he could be dry nursing. I'm glad the milk supply will start to come back after birth, that way he can start getting more milk again. Before pregnancy I was able to squeeze out regular breast milk.

It hurt slightly. I really hated it though and got nursing aversion!
