bf question

my baby has been bf at the hospital today, just got home and he is pulling faces at my nipple like it dont taste nice, then i notice that when i squeeze them nothing is coming out. with my dd loads used to squirt out but this time its just a little dot. am i producing colostrum? what should i do?

You don't say how many days old your little one is but assuming it is only a couple of days I would say your milk probably hasn't come in yet. Mine took 4days to come in but I did have a c-section. During that time I kept putting my DD to my breast to try and encourage the milk to come through. Also of course the collustrum was there and aparently only a few drops of collustrum can keep a LO going for quite some time in the early days.

Keep putting your baby to your breast - perhaps squeeze a bit of collustrum out and rub it on your baby's lips. You'll get there - keep perserving

Mrs had this with Ileana too. Dont stress about it cos it will just make things worse. Keep going at it. Remember that all though you are experienced its a learning process for baby too.

You are producing exactly what you need to and he;s just learning. Dont read into faces babies pull - that's just him adjusting to his new surroundings and new way of eating - you both have to learn.

I only had the tiniest amount coming out but plenty to satisfy baby!! Babies are very good at getting milk from boobs so dw he will get enough
