big lumb on my right breast

I felt a great bit lumb on my right this morning. it's hard and a bit painful if i press with my finger. the lumb start from the top of my breast down to the nipple and about 2 inches wide.
I don;t think of anything serious like cancer, must be something to do with my milk but i dont know what it is.
what do you think it is?

How many days since u gave birth? It's 3 for me and my breasts are rock hard coz my milk is coming in... Or are u past this stage?

I gave birth ( natural birth ) on 14th August. This is my first baby and I breastfeed.

Hmm... Might be a blocked milk duct? I think it's best to go get it checked out by a doctor for peace of mind!

Sounds like a blocked duct. Keep the baby feeding on that side (but don't neglect the other side) and gently massage the area while the baby is feeding.

This may sound funny but as I don't have babies I only have experiences with animals,... When my cat got a clogged milk duct I was told to warm compress it. I did and put the kittens on that nipple and soon it went away.

yes, sounds like a blocked duct, just let baby feed off that breast as much as poss. Try warm and cold flanels on it, warm baths and gentle massage xxx
