birth control, bfing, and 6w pp

As the title states I am breast feeding on demand. (Pumping every hour at work) and started birth control a week ago tomorrow. I will be 6w pp on monday and started having bright red blood again on Thursday night and still have it today. It started out dark like usual pp bleeding which is why I'm concerned/wondering about it. It's not crazy heavy or anything a little lighter than what I would consider one of my regular periods. Any advice or help? I was hoping to be able to soon... also if it matters I had a very easy birth no tears cuts or hemorrhaging after

I am 3 months pp but bled off and on for a little over 7 weeks. I stopped around 4.5 weeks and then picked back up (bright red) around 6 weeks for a few more days, tapering off until I was finally done some time after 7 weeks.

You might have been overdoing it. Try and rest and hopefully it should get better.
