Hey ladies! I have been off B&B for so long. So many things to update. First and foremost I had my little guy. He was perfect. Here is my birth story. :cloud9:

If anyone followed me, or has they know that I wanted to do the whole natural birth thing and have the whole bonding experience. WELL, my little guy was breeched and I had to have a C-Section. It was scheduled for December 18th. At 39 weeks. Well, baby had other plans!

Zane Marcos Reynolds was born December 10th, 2013 @7:45 a.m. weighing 7lbs exactly and 19inches exactly. He was perfect. Beyond perfect.

So what happened is I was MISERABLE. I was huge, Dr. had predicted a 9lb baby. It looked like so because he was so big in my tummy. Well, that wasn't the case. The 9th hubby and I had a date night. We watched Bonnie and Clyde on TV, and ate a whole platter of mini corndogs. The funny thing about my whole birth thing is that I typically choose to shower the night before I go to sleep. It helps me sleep better. Well, the one night I choose not to shower my water breaks! At 4:15 a.m. my water broke. I started to feel a trickle like I was leaking something and I shot out of bed. Only to have all my water pour out. I was 37 weeks 6 days. I told hubby my water broke and all of the sudden he shot out of bed. It was wonderful. The excitement I felt in those moments is explainable. The only way I can explain it is me knowing I was about to go meet the love of my life. My reason for living. :cloud9:

The hospital is about a two minute drive so off we went. The whole way I was leaking more fluid, and the butterflies wouldn't ease up. I knew I was going to have a C-Section but at this point I didn't care. I was ready to meet my boy. At the hospital they put me in a room and checked me. This was at about 5:00 a.m. I was dilated to a 2! it was going quick! I started contracting and that hurt like a b****. They asked me if I wanted meds, and even though I knew I hadn't originally wanted any, I said yes. My reason was because I was going to be pumped full of meds anyway. Why not take a little something to ease it. I was progressing fast! At 6 I was checked again and I was at 4cm. Crazy fast! The nurses came in and told me that I was going to have to wait until 9 to have my C-Section because the doctor had a scheduled surgery and he was also on call! :nope: I was not happy! I told them at the rate I was progressing I was going to push my baby out butt first!

Thankfully I had seen the doctor the day before and he came in quick as a whistle as he knew my whole situation. My original doctor was on vacation in Hawaii (go figure) so I had his back up doctor check me the day before. That was who delivered my baby. Great doctor! Anyway, I was put in to the room and I had the spinal and a catheter put it. Not really painful. It really helped that I was excited and all I could think about was meeting my love. Well before I knew it my hubby came into the room and they began work. I was having some muscle spasms in my upper tummy that I could feel but other than that, I was doing great. I was patiently waiting to hear that little cry. BOY did I hear it! He came out of my tummy yelling and screaming. I will NEVER forget it. EVER. It was the most wonderful sound in the world. :cloud9: I looked at my husband and the tears in his eyes matched mine. All I wanted to do was see him. All I could hear were the nurses say "oh my. What a cutie! Look at all that hair!" My hubby went over there and brought him to me. He was the most beautiful being I had ever laid eyes on. In that moment I realized that I must have done something amazing to please God, because I was given the best gift in the world!

I was worked on for about a half hour and then I was wheeled back into the recovery room. The first thing I asked was where my baby was, and like clock-work the nurse and my husband walked in with our little guy. I immediately started nursing him. The bonding was amazing! I felt like I had known him my whole life, yet he was so new. He was the most amazing thing ever. :cloud9:

As far as recovery for a C-section, it seems to have been great for me. I know it was major surgery, but I felt like I hadn't even had a baby. The second day that is. After I got to take a shower (finally) and feel normal, I felt amazing! Obviously my incision hurt a tad, but I was feeling like I was in a dream. I actually got to go home a day early because I was recovering so well. Thank God! I was ready to be home. Also, I thought I would throw this in there. There is NO need to pack a ton for a C-Section. In all honesty, I used maybe like 10% of what I packed.

Here it is:
-Change of clothes if you want to feel more comfy. (hospital gowns are only good the first night)
-Shampoo/Conditioner/Body Wash/Loofa (was awesome to have my own)
-Lotion/Toothbrush/Toothpaste
-Slippers
-Underwear (optional, but I did not like the mesh ones. They were too loose on me. My own were great)
-PADS (so many ladies said they loved the hospital pads, I didn't. Could be different for natural birth, but there was minimal bleeding after a C-Section. They seemed to have cleaned most of it out during surgery)
-Cell phone/Charger
-Snacks
-Nipple cream
-Slippers

For baby
-3/4 changes of clothes
-Bopi (one of those pillows that wraps around your tummy for nursing)
THIS IS REALLY ALL. THE HOSPITAL PROVIDES EVERYTHING.

I will include my birth story in pictures as well so you can all see. I missed a ton of details but this was basically it.
