Well I was 6 days overdue and well and truly fed up! Went to my MW appt at 3pm where she did a sweep. I was 1-2cms and soft, 75% effaced. She booked me in to be induced 8 days later but said I probably wouldn't need it. This was Thursday 12th and I joked to her that he was gonna be a Friday 13th baby, she said hmmmm I'd say Saturday...........little did she know!
Went to McDs and headed home feeling crampy. OH went food shopping and by the time he got home around half 5 I told him I had a belly ache. I put the other children to bed around 6 as just didn't feel right and it was then I thought maybe it could be the start. Kept feeling like I needed the toilet and wanted some paracetamol but felt too sick, pains were in waves about 3-4mins apart but bearable. I called my Mum who got to ours for 6:45pm and off me and OH went to the birthing centre.
When we arrived at 7pm shifts were just changing so I had to wait half hour to be examined. She told me I was only 3cms and still in early stages, my contractions had to get stronger and longer. I was told I could stay if I wanted as they were quiet or go home for a while. Thank goodness I chose to stay!
I remember watching the end of Eastenders on the birthing ball and then having to kneel on all fours to cope with the pain, when the MW came back in she started to fill the pool and I asked for G&A. I got in the pool around 10mins later even though it wasn't completely full, every time I took the G&A out my mouthi didn't like the strength of the pain so from then on it stayed firmly in my mouth
I had only been in the pool 10mins when I had to get out as I was bleeding and the MW couldn't see how much blood I was losing being in the pool, so i lay down, something I said I would never do!
I had the urge to push not long after, the MW had to tell me to slow down a couple of times as he was coming too fast and at 8:35pm after 38mins of established labour and 2mins of pushing Kaiden was born weighing 7lbs 9ozs
An hour after the MW had told me I could go home 
He had a hand upto his face which is why the MW thinks i bled, that he scratched my cervix on the way out. I delivered the placenta naturally, that took 16mins.
As it was a birthing centre I was home for midnight
