birth weight...

Does anyone know if there is any connection between yours and the babys fathers birth weight to determine how big your baby will be?
as i was 9lbs and the babys father was 11lbs (ouch!)
so im slightly worried ! ha

Well my OH was 8lb 6 and I was 8lb 5oz
Katelyn was 8lb exactly.
But my friend was 6lb when born and her OH was 7lb 4 when born... she had an 11lb 5 baby...

I was 9lb, hubby was 8lb 6oz and Molly was 7lb 12oz.

It's not about the weight, it's the head circumference Both Molly and I had 35cm head circs despite a good 1lb difference in weight.

I was 8lbs 10 and hubby was 9lbs so I was expecting similar but DD was 6lbs 2ozs. It was obvious towards the end she wasn't going to be very big though as my bump was small.

Oh and I were both fairly small babys. I was 5lb 1 and he was 6lb 4 - both full term.

All fairly small babes- 2 same as dads weight! All had a 32 or 33cm head circumfrence. Im not expecting baby to be big this time either! Round the 7lb mark at a guess

I weighed 6.3 and my DH weighed 7.4. N weighed 8.7 which was small conidering the told me to expect a 10lb + baby.

Yes, I was 9lb and so was OH and our son too. Ohs brother was 11lb and the rest of his brother and sisters 9lb so was mine. But i also passed my due date with 16 days...

I was 6lb 7 and OH was 9lb, Ruby was 7lb 2oz. Dont know if there's an official correlation though.

I was 7lb and hubby was 6lb 6oz and ours have been 9lb 7oz and 8lb 11oz. I think it is more to do with what you eat during your pregnancy I always have had lots of cheese which I know is very fatty.

i was 6lb 5oz at 34 weeks and oh was 10lb at 40 weeks. our DD was 11lb 14 and this one will propably be a similar weight as he is already at 9lb 4oz! xx

its more down your your genetics and bone structure than your OH's caus its your body growing the baby

my OH was 6lb 8oz born and i was 7lb 8oz, ds1 was 9lb 10oz and ds2 10lb 12oz lol big babies come through my side of the family my mum has had 2 babies over 10lb. my MIL didnt have a baby over 8lb,
people dont believe me though if they know my OH caus hes 6ft6 and 130kg lol as im 5ft8 and normally about 68kg not pregnant

My OH doesn't know what he weighed but I was 5lbs 1oz (6 weeks early) and when Thomas was born he was 6lbs 8.5oz (34cm head).

It's going to really hurt either way but it's easier to push bigger babies out apparently!

My OH was born after his due date I think and was only just over 7lb. I was born 2 weeks early and was nearly 8lb and my son was born 1 week early at 9lb7! So for us, no correlation whatsoever! lol.

I dont think so, I was 7lb 2oz, husband was 8lb. My daughter was 8b 12oz and my son was 9lb 8oz!!
