My son is turning 8 in April and has made it clear that he wants to have an actual birthday party this year instead of just doing something small with the family as we have done for previous years. Since we're fairly busy, I wanted to get a head start on planning since I know it can require quite a bit of work. But I have no idea where to start or what I even need to do or figure out or buy or anything.

So basically, I need a how-to guide on planning a child's birthday party. :haha: Can any of you offer any help?

Thanks in advance :flower:

First decide what sort of party. Soft play vs a hall.
Soft play seems to suit young kids.
Hall with disco, bouncy castle entertainer seems better for older kids - but more difficult to organise. Id start by finding a hall, either community hall or ask your local church. Then find entertainer. You have load of time to sort it.
