So...my sister has given me her birthing ball from her last pregnancy as it helped with her spd...I've also heard that they can help baby drop/engage im 34+5 at the minute and so currently only using to take the pressure from my back as I am in agony...any tips though on how to position and use the ba for when I'm further along to try and get him to engage? Thanks in advance<3

i just sat and rolled and bounced used with both babies from middle of 2nd tri till labour :)

It didn't help me engage my 2nd girly at all, but did get her in the right position from breech. Will be digging mine out again soon actually, absolutely loved it during labour. Shame they're massive and take up sooooo much room in the living room.

I'm just trying to sit on mine for half an hour a day now & bounce & rock front to back and side to side on it. I'm getting BH after using it so I assume it's doing something! I didn't use one with DS but got one this time in prep for my home birth do thought I'd use it now. Hopefully this one won't be as late as DS!

I've had my birthing ball for the last 3-4 weeks. Havent used it yet. Been very busy lately. :(

Move your hips in a circular motion as if you're hula hooping, in both directions. Move your hips forward and roll back, side to side, all of that is going to help baby engage when they feel like it. Also, knees on the floor, legs spread, laying over or against your ball. You can also put the ball against the wall behind your back and use it to support your back as you do squats to get baby low. Bounce bounce bounce!!! Enjoy that ball - sit on it leaning forward a little bit, as much as you can. It will help to get/keep baby in the best position for labor.
