Bisphenol A

Its such a terrible worry!

With my firstborn, I did all the things they tell you not to do ie I used to pour boiling water into the bottle, then leave it in the kitchen to cool. Also heated up milk in the microwave etc. Likewise with sippy cups and food in plastic bowls during the weaning process.

It makes me feel ill that I have potentially put my child at risk of something awful later down the line.

:(

I just don't understand this at all.

Bottles with Bisphenol A were investigated over a year or so ago and yes, were banned in Canada, but not in the USA or the UK where they continued to be sold after investigation. So why only now is this coming up again?

Also - does anyone ever think to themselves "hang on... my mum used Tommy Tippy stuff with me throughout my entire childhood and i'm fine"?

I don't know - I understand the importance of stuff like this, but quite often can't help but think it's old news and scare tactics.
