Bleeding after abdominal ultrasound??Worried!

I had a private scan this morning (16.5w) and just noticed a gush of blood when I went to the bathroom. It's more brown than red.

Does an abdominal ultrasound cause bleeding? Should I call my doctor? I was hoping my doctor would not need to know about the private scan.. I know they don't usually like it.

Any bleeding in pregnancy should be investigated xx

Ultra sounds done on stomach do not cause bleeding.

Please see your doctor, he doesnt need to know you had any private scan.
