bleeding again

Hi, I'm new to the site and wanted to ask you ladies to give me some advice. Started to bleed at weekend and thought I was nine weeks counting from my last period. Hospital scanned me and told me I couldn't be more than 5 weeks but the bleeding had stopped by then. I have to return to hospital next week to see if there has been any growth as I was so sure of my dates. Started to bleed again this afternoon and phoned hospital, midwife told me to put on a sanitary towel and not to panic yet but if the bleed got heavier with severe cramping then to make my way to hospital. I am still bleeding slowly an hour later without any serious cramps, what should I do next, don't want to keep ringing the midwives if I'm just being a panicker!

Hi is the blood running away from you? I am 5+4 weeks pregnant and have spent my day up A&E and the doctors trying to get myself an early scan because i have bloody when i wipe but it is not running from me! anyway after 2 faied attempts to get a scan i paid for a private one and saw the gestational sac which messured exact for my stage of pregnancy but no fetal pole or yolk sac was vissable at this stage which i have been told is normal. I have my next scan on tuesday xxx gud luck hun xxxx

Hi, I'm currently 6+2 days pregnant and have been bleeding since 4+6. I've even passed a few clots (small ones, one at a time with no cramps or bleeding) and my ultrasound a few days ago showed a very strong beanie.

I'm not sure if getting scanned again this soon will tell you much but I would definitely go and ask to get your bloods taken to see if the hormones are doubling/rising. I've been to the ER twice--the second time after I had quite a bit flow into the toilet--and it was too soon for an ultrasound but the bloods showed my hcg had more than doubled. And a few days later when I could get another scan it showed a strong baby.

Keep your chin up. You can have your happy ending (that's what I'm holding onto). Get your bloods taken and when you're home just stay in bed and keep your feet up! Let your OH worry about the laundry, etc.

Hi all,

I went to the toilet earlier and had some light spotting (first a streak then literal spots on tissue-like when you dab a bleeding facial spot)- it was fresh red blood and now i'm really worried as i've read that is the worst to see. Nothing on my knickers and it has stopped now. I am 6 weeks from 1st day of last period and about 24 dpo. I did another test to check I was still pregnant and the line came up straight away and very dark.

I have an appointment tomorrow with the docs, but I'm still so worried. i'm in bed resting but can't help reading negative stories about spotting.

Amy- what colour was your blood? was is fresh or old. I'm desperate for positive stories and outcomes.

UPDATE: For anyone interested - Went to the Doctors and she totally reassured me and said it was quite common and most likely to be implantation bleeding. having early scan next week just as a precaution. So relieved though.
