Bleeding / Spotting 5w5d

Hi all (sorry if this has been asked many times) I'm currently 5 weeks 5 days and experiencing some slight bleeding only really when I wipe and also some brown spotting on my pad.. Has anyone had this and all be ok? I don't remember having this with my last pregnancy which I miscarried but with my first pregnancy 5 years ago I think I only found out around 8weeks so I'm assuming I may of had this and thought it was a period. I don't really have any cramps as such maybe just a little niggle but nothing to worry about. I appreciate any input you may have, Thank you

i had brown spotting for a week and then had scan and everything was fine, i also get it now every now and again, only little bits though. dont worry

I've had some bleeding since I hit the 5 week mark (now at 6 weeks)..we had an ultrasound done and it seems to be okay and hcg nearly doubled last week despite the bleeding. Just try not to worry..I know it's hard not to but if you're really concerned just speak to your obgyn. He/she should put your mind at ease.

Thank you both for the replies, I called doctors just over a week ago and they have made me an appointment which is for just over a week away as they like to see you around the 7-8week mark, so hopefully all is ok Thanks again

I have on and off spotting since I found out I was pregnant on 2/23!! It is also when I wipe. Usually only red or pink. Had 2 scans and all great so far! I think I have a sensitive cervix and I know there is extra bloodflow there too. Try to avoid heavy lifting, straining on the toilet. I hear sex can cause spotting too

I had a heavy bleed that lasted for just over two weeks and ended 1 week and 5 days ago. On my last ultrasound at 6 1/2 weeks the doctor said I bled from the uterine wall, but the baby was fine and there was a heartbeat flickering away. I won't get more information until Thursday, but I am optimistic because I have strong symptoms and no bleeding anymore. Keep your head up and keep off your feet for a bit. That should help stop the bleeding.

Thanks all.. Spotting again today Docs appointment in 3 days.. Hope all is ok.. As I miscarried my last baby Im a tad worried even tho it may be nothing.. Fingers crossed x

Spotting is a pregnancy symptom. Could just be your baby getting nice and comfy!

When I misscarried last year at 8 weeks I bled heavy. Didn't really spot.

Honestly, don't worry about it! Think calm positive thoughts! Worrying is no good for you. Easier said than done, I know x

Thanks I hope he/she is getting very comfy in there, yes I remember the heavy bleeding when I miscarried.. Im sorry to hear you have gone through the same I wouldnt want that for anyone. I think I had spotted quite a lot with my daughter thats why I had a scan at 8 weeks.. She's 6 this year thanks for the replies everyone x

I've been spotting really dark brown discharge today at 5 weeks 4 days...hoping this is normal, mum keeps trying to reassure me. Fingers crossed xxx

Hey wanted to let ya know that I have been spotting brown off and on for about 3 weeks now. I got my ultrasound done on friday and showed a healthy baby measuring in at 7w1d (1day a head so changed due date to 12-12) and a beautiful hb of 128bpm. also checked my hcg at 101,648 which up to 220,000 is normal at this point. The "bleeding" is from an implantation bleed they saw so told me not to worry about it. Good luck to you!

I had light pink to light red spotting almost every other day during my 4 week - 5 week time period, but then it went away one day and hasn't come back yet! Hopefully it stays away!

Hiya Ladies,
i have exactly the same. 2 weeks ago i had an early scan (thought i was 7 weeks scan measured 5-6 weeks) due to a previous ectopic. Baby was in right place with a heart beat. As soon as i had scan the bleeding started. Spotting then slightly more,then spotting again. Its been like this since the scan. I;ve spoke to hospital who have reassured me that if i am not soaking a pad in an hour,not passing clots or very heavy period,not having cramps that paracetamol does not ease then its classed as normal early rpegnancy bleeding/spottinga nd as i had a ehalthy scan with a heartbeat at this time they would not suggest another scan. I was told to rest up when i can,avoid lifting where possible and not to over do it nad it should start to ease up. I have just got my 12 week scan date throigh for a few weeks time so i'm hoping all will be well then! I had my bloods done last week and they told me they would call me if there was any problems (was left aneamic after ectopic surgery) and so far have not heard from tehm so i'm guessing all is as it should be. I've found that as i had experienced a loss (which i ignored all symptoms for) i wouldnt ignore my body this time and its better to ask than not to and sit and worry as the less stress in these early stages the better. I had spotting at 5 weeks 3 days. Had a scan and they said it was probably caused from implantation. I had it again at 10 weeks and at 14 weeks (I don't think this later bleeding was from implantation though - I have no idea what it is, but baby is fine) x

I had spotting for 3 weeks.. I had 2 scans because of it and everything turned out to be just fine. Good luck!
