It's my second pregnancy and I bled a tiny bit at 6 weeks the first time around but for some reason this time I'm freaking out.

I'm 4 weeks and I noticed when I wiped this morning there was red blood. In the last wipe there was a very tiny clot.

I'm not sure hun I've never had it can you ring your dr ? Or your early preg unit for some advice ?
Hope your ok but if you had bleeding in your first preg I do know it is more common to bleed again in the next one.

If you are really worried go to a&e. I had a bad bleed at 6 weeks and ended up going in. They took blood to test my hcg and then I went upstairs to the EPU who performed an exam. With you being so early it is highly unlikely they will see anything on a scan so they will probably get you to come back I. 48 hours for another blood test to see if your levels are doubling. I know it is almost impossible but please try not to panic, relaxing is the best thing you can do for baby xx

Thanks for the replies. It stopped a little yesterday but is back and worse this morning. The doctor basically told me there's nothing he can do. I guess that's it for me. :(

Hope everything turns out ok. I had very heavy red bleeding at 13 weeks and was convinced it was all over-a scan revealed a pool of blood called a sch that was causing the bleed. I bled constantly for over 7 weeks and all is well now.

I had a bad bleed at 6 weeks and thought it was all over. Had a scan a few days later and shocked to find baby safe and sound. I have bled on and off for the last 4 weeks and had another scan since and baby is still fine. Really hope this is the same for you xxx

Sorry for not replying sooner, I took a day away from it all. I'm back at work and feeling a bit better but I'm much more upset than I'd ever dreamed I would be with such an early loss.

Thank you for all the positive stories too, I really want to cling to them but sadly I feel different now. The lack of symptoms accompanied with my (still) heavy bleeding is just making me really feel this one is over. I just can't understand how there could ever be this much blood and the LO still be ok in there.

The doctor said to test in a week but I'm going to pick up a double test on the way home tonight and do one now. It's driving me mad and I just want to do something.

Thankfully my partner's been great and we've agreed we'll try again this month.

I think today is CD 4 so I guess I need to get myself back to TTC. Thanks for all the replies, I appreciate it. Wishing a happy and healthy 9 months to all.

Sorry to read your update hun :( Good luck for trying again xxx

Make sure you get the doctor to confirm a MC before loosing hope Hun! X

Aw panda... I was just so happy to see a familiar name too but not to read this :( I hope the test was a good one. I have friends who had periods all through their pregnancies... Fingers crossed xx

Hi Carly, how are you doing? Congrats on your LO. :)

It's ok, I've come to terms with it, it wasn't meant to be. I took a test last night and thankfully it was negative, so I guess that means we can just start again right away. We talked a lot last night and we've agreed we're going to temp this month just to ensure everything is working still. We'd said we wouldn't temp this time but given what's happened it will just help me feel happier. Hopefully I'll be back in here soon.

Sorry to hear that flamingpanda. i can understand why you want to temp, we did the same in those circumstances and it did give me some comfort. xxx :hugs:

Thanks Atomic. I presume it's normal I'm worrying that something is wrong with me? I know there should be comfort in knowing we have one, but I just keep wondering if she is the anomaly and it just won't happen again for us. It's really scary. At least taking the temps I can confirm if I'm ovulating again. We don't seem to have any problem getting pregnant, each time within 2 cycles of trying, but now I know 50% of those have MCed it's freaking me out. I know it's a small sample to judge from but it's just hard to stop my mind from going there.

Sorry you went through something similar. :(

I guess it is normal hun. After that I wanted to know as much as I could about what was going on with my body and I felt a bit more in control. I think that's what happens, miscarriage is something we have no control over but we can control getting back on the wagon and having knowledge is comfort. :hugs:

Thanks Hun...

You do what you have to to make you feel better about the situation... and get back here. Sending lots of love, luck and baby dust xx
