I have PCOS and my husband and I have been trying to concieve with fertility drugs and surgery for a year naturally before that for 6 months. On June 7 I had a withdrawl bleed via mexyprogesterone. On June 11th I had a surgery called Ovarian drilling. This is supposed to restore ovulation or at least make your ovaries react to the ovulation drugs making it possible to concieve. On June 26 I went in for my follow up and did a day 21 Progesterone to see if I had ovulated after the surgery like I should have. The test came back negative for ovulation leaving the doc to tell me the surgery didn't work. Well I should have gotten my period somewhere around the 7th of July. But when I had no sympthoms I took a pregnancy test just in case and it was negative as I suspected it would be. On the 8th I took another one and it was still negative. Yet something told me not to take the mexyprogesterone to start a period. On July 15th I took another test and got the faintest positive I have ever seen. I almost didn't believe it was true. I went in to my doctor who told me it was impossible and I wasn't pregnant. But she drew a beta and it was 212. Very positive for pregnancy. Yet very low. She assumed I was very early on. Which I assumed the same thing being that I could not have sex for two weeks after the surgery. I had cramping so I went to the ER they did an ultrasound that dated me at 6wk1day which could not be possible as I stated before because I was not having sex after my surgery. They saw a gestestional sac measuring 13.3mm and a yolk sac measuring 3.42mm and told me that it was a blighted ovum and i had a choice to make. Does this seem to early for this diagnoses. Sorry for the ramble but we have tried and tried and I can't imagine a dissapointment like this.
