Hi everyone. I am 5 months pregnant!!! I have Hashimotos disease (Hypothyroidism). I had my blood work done at my primary because my OB has not tested my thyroid my entire pregnancy. Really mad about it. I also was diagnosed with Hypermeosis my OB was nice about it at first but then as it continued into my 2nd trimester he refused to update my paperwork for work. This has me in the hot seat at work. Other forums have told me to contact a malpractice lawyer and changed OBs. Which I am looking into. My test results had a few issues
Test Result Range
Urea Nitrogen 5 L 6-20mg/dL
Protein Total 5.7 L 6.4-8.3g/dL
Albumin 3.4 L 3.5-5.2g/dL
UIBC 443 H 112-347ug/dL
TIBC 490 H 225-390mcg/dL
% Transferrin Saturation 9.6 L 14-50 Percent
Cholesterol 343 H
LDL 228 H >190 Very High
VLDL 28.6 H <20mg/dL
Chol/HDL Ratio 4.0 H < 3.70 Ratio
T3 Uptake 21.6 L 23-36 percent
Sed Rate(ESR) 60 H 0-30 mm/hr
WBC 11.4 H 3.8-10.9 10E3/uL
C-Reactive Protein (CRP) 9.4 H <5.0mg/L

These of course are just the tests that came back not normal.

I tried to research online and pretty much just scared myself.
It appears part of them is cause by my Thyroid disease and some of them have to do with Liver functions.
Does anyone know what these mean?
Thanks

I don't think any of those results are thyroid results, they should be testing your tsh, t3 & t4 and antibodies

I have had my tsh tested every month since oct 2011, I am on my 6th pregnancy and all 5 previous mc are linked to my thyroid x

I work in a pathology laboratory so I can help with some of these tests, keeping in mind that Australian vs USA blood tests are performed differently, but Hope is right, there isnt a thyriod test in there, well at least not that I can see unless they call them something different over there. They seem to have tested your Cholesterol, Iron etc. The fact that your ESR and CRP are slightly elevated though normally indicates that you have an infection somewhere in your body that your body is trying to fight, but they really arent that bad so I wouldnt worry too much about it. Could be something as simple as your body fighting a cold. If it was serious it would be up around 80-100.

You do have a very high cholesterol though and maybe worth looking at iron tablets as that is a little low also.
