Blood tinged CM during cycle (picture)

On the odd occasion, I get this during my cycle, I don't think it's an ovulation thing or an irritation thing, as it tends to happen regardless of sex and not when (I think) I am ovulating but about a week beforehand.

Does anyone else get this? It's usually a small amount and lasts a day, and it's in eggwhite-ish CM.

FIY I'm on CD 21 after a miscarriage and cycles are usually 37-43 days but irregular as hell.

It was a little less dramatic in real life, it's darker in the picture. I'm worried that it means something is wrong? Or is this fairly common? I never used to get it until the last 12 or so months.

I had this once and it ended up being the cycle I fell pregnant. I googled it at the time and apparently it's a sign you're highly fertile! I'm not sure how true that is, but it seemed to work for me. I did mention it to the dr, but he didn't seemed concerned at all. I'd keep an eye on it and if it starts happening more regularly, then maybe you could ask your dr about it.

Thank you! I've had it about 4 times this year, perhaps I have often had it and just not noticed. I take note of secretions etc more often now to avoid pregnancy, and just because it's interesting to take note of.

I also noticed today that I have sore muscles, kinda like the DOMS you get the day after lifting weights but not quite the same, Must be some sort of water retention thing to do with my cycle I guess.

Ive had this too! Nearly every cycle, and no apparent cause, ultrasound and colposcopy have ruled anything obvious out. Have your cycles changed at all? My AF is also longer now. x

Mine are shorter than usual, but I've always had long and irregular cycles. I used to get maybe 3 periods a year before I had kids - before Thomas my LMP was December 2009 and I got pregnant with him about the 4th of March 2010! They are about 37-43 days long since I had Sophie but had one that was 27 days and one that was 65 days.
