Bloody noses!!

So here's a weird thread where we can all share our bloody nose stories.. I don't really know why any one would want to talk about that but I'm a wierdo and felt like sharing

I've never had a bloody nose my entire life EVER! And I've been hit in the face pretty hard a few times. I knew they were more common in pregnancy but really didn't think anything of it because I had never even see blood associated with my nose, ever!

Around 12 weeks I got really sick one morning and (TMI) vomit came out my nose when I was done I went to blow my nose and in my tissue was a whole mess of blood!! I just started crying and freaking out and my OH came running in the bathroom and saw the tissue that I was holding up like a big baby, and he was like "Oh I read that's normal with pregnancy!" I just started bawling my eyes out and was like THAT IS NOT NORMAL FOR ME!! haha

I was so upset that could even happen to me but I got over it haha and it hasn't really happened since.. except tonight. I was just crying pretty hard (damn emotions.. ) and was blowing my nose and just threw the tissues on the ground because it was dark and I wasn't walking to the trash.. I couldn't sleep so I got up to get myself a tea and use the computer, went to go throw my tissues away only to find out that I must have been blowing out blood and I didn't even know it! I wonder why this happens to us when we're pregnant.. I think I read about it before but I don't remember.

I rarely get nosebleeds and haven't had one yet. But my little sister gets them a lot, and she's really not that fond of me :') she's always loved my older brother more. Anyway, the other day she had a nose bleed, and my mum took her to get some tissue. She came back into the room, holding the tissue to her nose and crying. And she came right to me for a cuddle. So I was cuddling her whilst she cried, and somehow I ended up holding the bloody tissue against her nose. And that is when I knew that my sister does love me :')

I've always had nose bleeds but it's so normal, I was in hospital overnight at 19 weeks and 5 metres out the door I started vomiting and having a bloody nose Right back in we went

I hate bloody noses. I have them daily and it's becoming annoying. It's like I can time when they come too. I'm on a mission to keep tissues in the house but with the cooler weather and dryer air, it only makes things worse by drying out my passages making them bleed more. I even put jelly up there and wind up dripping in the mornings. Beautiful sight to wake up to a puddle of blood on your pillow. NOT something I like waking up to.

x___amour - I really am thankful that is one symptom I did NOT get too bad, at all really!

cluckerduckie - I am so glad I don't have to deal with that I'm so sorry! That must be awful! Bloody noses just scare me.. where the heck is that blood coming from!? Your sinus's? It just makes me so freaked out because my brain is right there haha

I recently found out that I have a cyst on my left sinus cavity and that is causing the bleeding. Usually I get bad infections but, I'll gladly take the nosebleeds apart from the concoction of meds I have to be on to get rid of the damn sinus infection. *knock on wood* I haven't gotten one this year! --and I usually get one around Thanksgiving.

Are you blowing your nose and getting clots?

I recently found out that I have a cyst on my left sinus cavity and that is causing the bleeding. Usually I get bad infections but, I'll gladly take the nosebleeds apart from the concoction of meds I have to be on to get rid of the damn sinus infection. *knock on wood* I haven't gotten one this year! --and I usually get one around Thanksgiving.

Oh gosh well at least you've discovered the source of the problem! Good luck with that I hope it holds out for you!! It's already december so it's looking good!

And no I've really only got 2 this whole pregnancy, one from throwing up out my nose (sorry tmi) and another I'm pretty sure was just from crying so hard. I didn't even realize I was bleeding until I looked at my tissues hours later! Its so strange for me to see blood anywhere with my nose though because of not ever seeing it my whole life. I hope I don't get anymore the rest of this pregnancy! I bet when it's over I'll go back to never seeing them again.. (hopefully).
