Hi all!
Sorry I have not posted to this site for a long while! I am 33 and oh is 39. We have no children and I have never had a BFP. We have been TTC for over 2 years now. I had bloods taken and the first lot showed low progesterone levels so I was convinced that maybe I am not ov every cycle.I have tried clomid for 4 cycles with no success - only saved on heating bills due to bad hot flushes . I have had all tests carried out and have ended up with good old 'unexplained infertility!' At one point they thought I had a polyp and went to remove it but it was no longer there.
We are now going down the ivf route and have been referred over to St Marys hospital in Manchester. Myself and my hubby had our initial tests at the hospital yesterday, but I am a little worried about 2 large cysts which she found on my left ovary during the internal scan. I did ask questions about them but didn't feel like I came away reassured. The nurse said they look at my bloods to see if they are affecting my hormone levels. I am concerned that before I took the clomid these were not present and now they are large in a short space of time.
I have just had a 60 day cycle which is crazy for me and also a few cycles of mid cycle bleeding. This is driving me mad! Has anyone got any experience of this. Will they affect my ttc chances and will they delay the start of any treatment?I am only to go back to the hospital in 12 weeks time so hope they dont get any bigger between now and then!
Thanks so much for reading :dohh:

I have cysts...my doctor told me that the main (but rare) concern is that they can sometimes hinder the egg from leaving the ovary. My grandmother had large cysts that had to be drained quite a few times (sorry tmi!) and went on to have 3 kids (my dad included!). And she managed to do all that in the 60's, and we have come so far in fertility medicine! I feel hopeful for you, but it never hurts to call your doc and ask for clarification!
