First thing first I've used many many different brands of pregnancy tests over the last 6 years and I just need to put it out there. There will always be a debate over this but this is what my own doctor said. Also is fact in regards to digital tests.
Blue dye tests areally very well known for giving fake positives... they are unreliable and if u want to find out if your pregnant avoid these tests and save ur money for a pink dye test.
Pink dye tests... these are more reliable but do remember their strengths will vary. X
Majority of cheap or supposedly early tests are all 25mui of hcg. Which means u can get false negatives.
In uk there is a test called viola pregnancy tests. They can only be brought at Lloyds pharmacy and are still cheap. They only need 5mui of hcg and are extremely accurate. My mate found out 7 days before her after was due. I found out using them before 4 days before after was due. With a dark line due to their strength
I also recommend frer or tescos own brand. However in the UK tescos own brand are now blue dye. Be careful.
Digital tests are great however they need more mui of hcg then most tests. Hence why you get positive on pink dye then a negative on a digital. Digital are not great as a first pregnancy test if you are early on as your body may not have enough hcg in it yet. Remember every pregnancy is different and some people's hcg starts very low and raises slowly so just because one person got a bfp at 13dpo for example doesn't mean you will xx
I'm currently pregnant. Doctor confirmed etc. However the day before I found out I had a bfn on both blue dye and digital. And a clear bfp on frer next day xx
Faint lines aren't always positives. Many can be line eye on ur half or Evaps. However many Faint positives turn out to be just that lol a lovely bfp
I have had a test before my son that I cud see the line and everyone else said it was evap line... week later I got a bfp !
But basically which brand do u stand by and why? X
I've attached a pic of my latest bfp
