Hey everyone.
My boy is 6 1/2 months, and I've started weaning with him. We did BLW with great success with his sister, so I wanted to do the same with him. He takes part in 3 meals a day with us, plus 2 snacks. He does reasonably well with things like porridge fingers, fruit and veg sticks, toast etc - really anything solid and sticky at this point. He's also good with a preloaded spoon of yoghurt or custard. But at the same time he's only taking small quantities so far.
My concern is how quickly he is cutting back on bottles - he's cut himself back to 2 - 4oz bottles at a time instead of the 7 - 8 oz he normally took. Prob x 3-4 during the day plus x1 during the night (since he was sick before Christmas he's gone back to night feeds.) My daughter cut back formula a lot more gradually. He's a big baby too, whereas she was a titch.
So my question is, would you be concerned about a rapid cutback in formula given that he is still only getting reasonably small amount of solids?
