Was wondering if any of you lovely ladies knew if the peppermint cooling foot spray from body shop was okay to use in pregnancy. I bought some today not thinking but then remembered something about essential oils and have googled but came up with a load of contradictary things. :flower:xx

peppermint is fine during pregnancy, just don;t give yourself a foot/ankle massage. they say aggressively working certain pressure points on sole of foot and ankles can start contractions

I literally would not have coped without my foot spray last time my feet were so swollen and sore, and my little boy was fine

Foot massages in early pregnancy are safe, and it actually wont cause contractions UNLESS your body is ready to go in to labor. My sister is a massage therapist and has done "foot massages" on numerous over due moms, and only about 20% of them go in labor.

peppermint oil is safe in pregnancy, so chances are it will be fine too. Everything in moderation, if ur concerned about anything.

I'm massage therapist and foot massages are totally fine. I have massaged many a pregnant women and never caused any to go into labor. I think it's BS to be honest. I also used Japanese Mint Oil at some point in nearly every treatment I did the entire time I was pregnant.
