After boiling water how long do you leave it in the kettle before making feeds?

no more than 30 minutes, but we made our feeds in advance and stored in the fridge

i steralize the bottles then boil the kettle then fill bottles up and put them in the fridge and then i heat it up and add powder at each feed. i use the water in the kettle within 30 mins if longer i change the water and boil again.

i used to make them after 20 mins

With my first i used to put the formula in, boil the ketttle, wait a min or two after boiling and make the batch for the next day, i found adding formula to hot water made the powder stick to the spoon therefore felt it would give uneven spoonfuls. It mixed ok. Would defo not leave water too long, it goes stale in the kettle. I always empty and refill the kettle before using it for a cuppa aswell but that coz our water is very hard and goes limescaley xxx

No more than 30 minutes before we make up the feeds. We make them when they are needed and so try to pop the kettle on when we put the steriliser on, so 10-15 minutes before we make the feed.

Putting the powder in first makes the measurements inaccurate. It should always be water first then the powder.
The powder that sticks to the scoop scrapes off very easily.

i used the wee plasitc measuring thing that came with the steriliser to put all the scoops in then poured them into each bottle, i only got minimal 'stickage' and it just giving it a tap would get the odd bits out used to drive me insane making up 8oz bottles when the powder all stuck on every scoop lol

I usually stick the kettle on while the bottles are sterilising, then when the cycle has finished, I leave it for 10 minutes (they're bloody hot otherwise!) so about 20 minutes, 30 maximum
