Boo44 and other naming experts - I need your help!

So I'm now 40+2 and in the last few days OH has completely trashed my favourite boys name -Rafferty. Boo I know you love the name as much as me, so I will do my best to get it back on the list(!) In the meantime can you or any other ladies help me with some alternatives in the same sort of vibe? The middle name will be Joseph. We can't use names beginning with N. We prefer full names with an obvious nn (like Finlay - Finn) and we are keen to stay away from the Williams, Harry, Georges as royal names aren't really us and soo popular here. Anyone have anything to inspire us? OH's pick is Sebastian (which is nice but I'm a little bored of) and we're considering Gabriel (but then neither of us love it). I realise we are ridiculously picky but any suggestion very welcome at this stage!

Great names guys! Ralph has long been a favourite of mine but OH has some Muppet Show issue with it. I also love Raphael.

Lucas, Louis and Noah are names I'd love to use but Noah doesn't sound right with our surname, my best friend from school had a Lucas last week and OH has an issue with Louis, though I keep suggesting it. Definitely going to ponder over Reuben. That's not one Ive considered before. Most of the others are great too, but we already have boys close to us with those names. Our friends need to start having girls

As for girls names we have a few, though none we are firm on. Front runners are Tavia (which OH scrubbed off the list but I got reinstated ), Felicity, Gabriella and Lucia. We are also considering Ava and Isabelle though their popularity has put us off a bit. Im also pushing for Elodie. Middle name is probably Rose though I've spotted a new spelling of Emily I haven't considered before - Emelie. Both are family names which would be nice to use. Just hope this baby if its a boy looks like a Rafferty or one of the other options

I wasn't sure on the name Sebastian until I met a gorgeous one on Monday. Ooh-weee, he was smoking hot and super sweet. His wife is expecting their first baby and he was fizzing with adorable excitement.

I like Raphael but I am quite into the ninja turtles so that's why.

Thank you everyone. I had my son on the 24th Oct. I couldn't convince him on Rafferty but he does look like a very good Sebastian. We also added another middle name so he is Sebastian Joseph Alfred Nic.
