Hi. Some of my dd blood work has just come back. She has to repeat her serum ferritin test as she's borderline high iron levels, she has to be tested agsin in 2 wks time just incase there was a reason she had high iron levels at that time. The only thing she had at the time was a viral infection with possible diahorria. The hospital said she was fine to be tested with this and I can't see how a viral infection and possible diahorria could cause high iron levels. Anyone else had experience with high iron levels and is it serious?

Few, just spoke to a very nice lady on toddler forum and apparently having an infection at the time of testing can give a false high result, fingers crossed that's why dd had borderline high levels as she had viral infection attend time
