I plan on bottle feeding my LO when he/she arrives and keep seeing bottle and food warmers... anyone know the best one to buy that takes different types of bottles? One that os more consistent in the warming?
I see so many mixed reviews about all the different brands...

we have the newest avent one. it is for food and bottles and will take any size and brand bottle. it is pricey but i LOVE it. i have seen lots of mixed reviews even on this one. like you have to use both hands to set it up and press buttons. it has rubber feet so ours never moves and i usually have the baby in my arms while getting the bottle ready. it's super fast. by the time we have a diaper change we are ready to go. and never too hot. with my previous 2 children i would run hot water in a bowl and set the bottle in it. i really like the warmer a lot better!! LOL

I also have the TT one, it's very simple to use and takes all brands of bottle. xxx

we have the TT one and we don't have TT bottles.
It fits avent, dr browns and NUK.
I never use it though, takes forever.
I would sooner use a plastic jug full of boiling water.
Much easier.

Got an avent one on eBay, cheap, not the newest model but does the job. For a few pounds if you don't like it it's not the end of the world.

I've got the TT one and my Dr Brown's fit in it just fine...but it takes a good 15 minutes to heat a bottle that's been in the fridge! Obviously the length of time will vary depending on how many ozs are in the bottle and how cold your fridge is.

You don't need a bottle warmer at all. You can warm them more quickly with a jug of boiling water, and if your MW is listening, of course you always make every feed up fresh :winkwink:

A bottle warmer can be useful for night feeds if you don't want to go to the kitchen, but then you need to store the bottle in your room for it to be worthwhile. We had a TT warmer for the night, which was fine, but they take bloomin ages and if I had my time over I wouldn't have bothered.

I have the new avent one. Most the time it's really good and by time i'v changed H his bottles ready, there as been a few time's tho where it has heated the bottle to much and i'v had to wait for it to cool, or it's not heated the bottle enough. I only use it during the night tho, in the day I just use a jug of boiling water.

sweet i was looking at the new avent one and was thinkiing for me it would be handy to have with having 3 dogs to run outside and then a baby to take care of it might make my life a little easier. in the middle of the night it would be very handy.

We have the First Years bottle warmer. It takes all types of bottles. If you have a thinner bottle, it has a ring you can put around it to keep the steam in longer to heat up the bottle faster. Unfortunately, the ring has been lost to us (hand me down bottle warmer from my sister) and we use the thinner bottles. I did use this bottle warmer with my niece a couple years ago when the ring was still around and it heated up a thin bottle quite quickly.

A pan/jug of boiling water is much quicker- bottle warmers take ages! I have an avent one which is fine, takes the doc brown bottles I use. They are good at night if you don't fancy going downstairs to boil the kettle though!
