Boy bits & nappies

Thanks

So far I haven't had a wee soaking - maybe he learnt his lesson when it went in his own mouth. Or maybe he's just waiting for me to let me guard down!! :haha:

I think in getting the hang of it. But wow - there are a LOT of little wrinkles & hiding places for poop!!!

Give it time! It's still early days he'll definitely get you a few times!

Also, to reiterate NEVER pull the foreskin back, I don't know why a couple women have told you to do so, but you're most definitely not supposed to!

I am a bit spooked by all these extra bits hanging around in the nappy. Wiping is hard enough - touching or pulling is well out of the question for me!!!

I think I've got it - point down, watch out for soakings, clean all the creases, check willy not stuck to scrotum & if in doubt... Pop him in the bath :haha:

Thanks all :)

It'll get easier! As time goes on you'll be less afraid to move and pull and tug a bit to get stuff clean. They're sensitive bits but not as sensitive as you think.

Really?? Omg, I feel bad now. My husband said it had to be pulled back to clean and I just figured he would know how to clean a penis....he's 6 months old now and I've been pulling it back the whole time....should I stop or is it too late?

As long as he hasn't had any infections or seemed in pain etc it shouldn't be too late - this article might be helpful :) I think it's understandable that some don't know not to pull it back as that sort of info isn't always given

Your husband was probably just thinking as an adult he pulls his back to clean. An easy mistake to make.

Nobody told us or gave us instructions! I feel like that's something they should have told us. :/ I feel so bad.

No one at the hospital told us either. I agree with you that it's something that should be told to all new moms of boys.
