DH is russian and his entire family speak little english and we speak russian in our home. Although we currently live in Uk we do spent a lot of time in russia.
DH is set on giving baby a russian name or a name that is used in russia, and in the russian format. If we have a little girl we both love Katya or Hanna.
However we are totally stuck with boys names and a big part of it is I want a name that the vast majority of people will be able to say.
We were thinking of Aleksandr, and using Alex/Alek as a nickname most of the time.
We also like Stefan, Ruslan and Ilarion, but I think that most people would mispronounce it and I don't want to make my baby's life harder.
Any suggestions on names, or on the names we like or how you would pronounce them.
Thanks
