Hi Ladies,

Its my first time in this section [ive read but not posted as yet].
Im 22 weeks gone so LO is due in August and me and OH are desperate to get out of my mums and get renting on our own before baby arrives.
However, we trying to save up a nice tidy sum before we leave so we dont have to sit on the floor for weeks before we can afford a sofa and other bits and bobs like that.

Anyway, i just wondered if any of you lovely ladies could help me by giving me a breakdown of your expenses over the month or gas, electric, rent, saving, etc etc...basically every outgoing so that i can have an idea of what i can expect.

It would be a great help.

Thanks in advance!

I might not be much help but ill try.

Rent is £395 a month including electric.
Gas is on a pay as you go meter and we put £10 every 10-14 days.

Cable/cell phone: $150
Gas:$200
Water: $30

£390 a month rent
£100 a month gas and electricity
£23 a month water
£13 a month TV Licence
£40 a month, sky and phone
£60 a month mobile contracts
£10 a month home insurance
£5 a month pet insurance
£104 a month council tax
£150 a month Diesel
£75 a month insurance
£25 a month broadband
£200 a month groceries
£250 a month debt repayment

Total - £1365

Our total income including tax credits is around £1800, but we are also putting away £300 a month for our wedding

ETA: I forgot to add our debt repayment plan money :dohh:

On necessities I pay monthly:

Rent: £360 (unfurnished 2bed house)
Gas/Electric: £80
Water: £14
TV License: £11
Council tax: £71
Food: £160 (max)

£721.

I receive £500 (give or take) SMP and about £550 in benefits (housing benefit, working tax, child tax, child benefit. xx

Mortgage - £477

Electricity - £63
Gas £37
Car Insurance - £30
Car Loan - £97
TV licence - £12 (or thereabouts)
Virgin Media (tv phone and broadband) - varies but normally about £50

Then credit card debts! Food if I am lucky!

Think that's about it

Rent £600 - 2 bed flat
Council tax £142
Food £150 ish
iPhone contract x 2 £70
TV License £13 ish
Sky tv/phone/BB £50 ish + call charges if any

Then OH pays petrol for his car about £100 ish a month

I also pay £49 a month for our sofa
£15 a month to a Topshop store card ive got
£25 a month in to an ISA
and £100 i get to spend on "stuff" including my travel to & from work, extra food, treats etc.

£12 tv licence
£40-50 nursery
£50 moblie contracts
£6 to window cleaner
£12 to milk man

We pay rent council tax and water out of OH's wadges before there payed too him so i have no idea how much that is about £350 i think but hes in the RAF.

We spend diffrent amounts on food and pertol every month usualy around £150 food at the start of the month and £80 pretrol, top up food by about £30-40 a week and pertol probably top up once or twice depending on were we go £10-20 so about £400 max on food + petrol.

In theory we should be left after food and pertol with about £140 a week to spend on whatever we want...never works out like that tho!

We pay:

£495 mortgage (2 bed)
£104 Council tax (includes water rates)
£100 or thereabout for life/home/contents and redundancy protection insurances
£100 for electric and gas (although this does usually leave us in credit at the end of year
£12 TV licence
£20-£25 for phone and internet
and we spend between £30 and £50 a month on food bills and other bits and pieces but no more than £200 a month

So in total about £1050 per month without petrol and insurance for the cars

Although before we move to our own place we used to survive from around £900 per month, I think the extra is from all the mortgage protection and life insurances that we took out when we found out we were having the LO!

£1050 a month rent
£55 a month electricity
£35 a month water
£30 quarterly TV Licence
£60 a month, sky and phone
£40 a month mobile contracts
£22 a month home insurance
£209 a month council tax
£180 a month Diesel
£400 a month groceries
£350 a month loan
£200 a month nursery
£170 a month car payment

Total - £2801

:growlmad: didn't realise how much it was.
