is there anyone who used to have regular periods and then became irregular once they got their period back while nursing?

i didnt have any while bf DS was suprised when i found out i was expecting this one lol

I got my period started when my son was almost 2 years, and it just became regular after that, got no problem at all with my period. Probably because I nursed my baby for quite a long time?

It is perfectly normal for your periods to be a bit messed up. Some breastfeeding mothers will start their menstrual cycle sooner than others. It's all related to hormones and the differences in mums and babies' breastfeeding styles. Usually, an earlier return of periods is because of one following: your baby has started sleeping though the night, your baby has started eating solid foods, your baby off the breast more than usual, introducing a bottle or dummy, and changes in frequency and duration of feeding.

however if you are at all worried contact your doctor for piece of mind.

Hope this helps

thanks everyone for the helpful comments , just to clarify: my periods have already come back when my LO was 6 months old. i have had one period so far, but it seems my cycle is messed up because I am late.
