Hi im thinking of getting myself a breast feeding pillow. My back is really hurting me from feeding, do the pillows help with that? And which ones are the best. Thanks in advance x

I didnt find they helped any more than normal cushions and i kept getting tangled in it. I used it more for during pregnancy. Lying down helped my back alot at night.

The pillows don't really help your back too much. I've found if I feed in bed I have to use pillows behind my back and I use BF pillow called my brest friend(sitting position). If I'm on the couch I use a boppy and shove blankets under it to get the baby higher up.

I have this one, which I love, but it only helps your back if you are sitting up straight. If you find yourself hunching over it, it won't help.

They are ok. I used a Boppy. It was very helpful with a small newborn but after that I found sticking a euro-pillow behind my back and either a small footstool (so your feed are about 10 - 15 cm off the ground) or very lazily I just cross my legs and use my crossed leg to rest LO on, much more user friendly - especially when out and about.

V-pillows can be good for supporting your arms and a most bf pillows are more solid so don't squash down as the feed progresses so CAN help with hunching over.

Have you tried any reclined feeding positions? Your body supports LO's weight and your back is laid on pillows of a reclining chair so shouldn't ache.

I use a V pillow to support me (a really big one that I used for sleeping throughout my pregnancy) and a semi circle shaped nursing pillow like the one purple cupcake has on top. I find it really helps, especially when feeding In bed lying down.

My pillow helps me somewhat. It doesn't help my back though, for that I need a decent chair or lots of normal pillows. What it does do is lift baby for me slightly so we feed more comfy. I find it hard to support baby's body whilst getting her latched, all with two hands so the pillow helps.

FYI this is what I have (I actually have two, one downstairs and one upstairs)
