Breast-feeding with small breasts

Has anyone here been successful breast-feeding with small breasts? I keep getting told I'm too small to breast-feed, a small b cup and it's really starting to make me worry. I need to hear other people have succeed! I keep having nightmares that I can not breast-feed

My sister is very small (about a b cup) and has been feeding her son for more than a year now. Breast size has NOTHING to do with your ability to feed your child. Honestly, how do these people think the human race survived before the invention of bottles? Did only large chested women breed? Ignore the lot of them. You can breastfeed.

Breast size has nothing to do with how much milk you will be able to produce (larger breasts just have more fatty tissue in them, not the ability to make more milk) so relax and ignore them - you'll be fine!

I was always wearing A-cups although friends never thought I am an A!
but, well those were the bras who fitted best, possibly 'cos I am very small around the chest as well!

I am wearing now a C-cup and solely breastfeed (besides of solids @ lunchtime and some water) my daugther for nearly seven month!

I was worried about it too, not too much 'cos of my size, but 'cos of the fact that my mother and my aunt "weren't able to breastfeed". OH never understood why I was worried about it. and now, I also can't see the reason, why my mother and my aunt weren't successful, probably they weren't patient enough, or with household and other kids they didn't have the time!

it is important that you let your LO suckle as much as it wants in the beginning to stimulate your production! alright, I was glued to the sofa, watching tv-channels up and down all day long for the first three month, but it was worth it

my sis has always been an A cup and she breastfeed her last child for over a year. her boobs did get a little bigger while she was beastfeeding.

I was a b cup when I was pregnant and by 16 weeks I was a D cup and now I'm a fuller D. Your breasts will probably continue to grow, but you will be able to breast feed even if they don't. Don't listen to people that tell you stupid things about being a mom and pregnancy. There are a lot of things that people will tell you are total crap!

I was looking through another site, about pregnancy and breasteeding etc. From what ive seen on there-size doesnt mean anything and ladies have posted photos feeding their babies, all shapes and sizes.

Im only small-but wont let that stop me having a good go.

Absolutely agree with what the others have been saying. Breast size has nothing whatsoever to do with ability to feed. I'm a B cup and went up to a double-D when I was PG. I managed to feed both of mine at once - Charlotte to 7 months and Tom to 8 months.

Sadly back down to a rather saggy B again now!
