hi
im going to try and give sam on occasional expressed feed so that i know if i need to leave him he can be fed but will it be ok to give him it cold or room temp as ive started weaning him and he seems to prefer his food this way (hes only had ellas kitchen so far) and thought it would be easier on whoever hes left with if they didnt have to worry about warming it up.

I warm Olivers up quite warm. But then he's a fussy bugger! Have you tried him with bottles yet? It won't take long to work out the best temperature for your LO.

he will take it cold or at room temp cos he will have cooled boiled water in a bottle i just wanted to make sure you didnt have to warm it up for health reasons.

No, I don't think so hun. I know a few people that give it at room temp. Much easier that way!!!

LO had breastmilk straight from the fridge for almost 9 weeks. Some babies prefer it room temperature or warm, but as long as your LO doesn't show any signs of discomfort, there isn't any need to warm it.

I guess they're all different, we've always given our babies EBM at body temp as that's what they're used to...gave cartons of formula at room temp but I think a full bottle straight from the fridge would be a bit too chilly for such a small baby....but never say never:dohh:
