Breast Screening

Hi I have a hospital appointment on thursday to have my breast checked as I had a lump and sore boob. (I thought was mastitis or a blocked milk duct, doctor said it wasnt). I am not sure what is going to happen at the appointment and if I will be safe to breast feed as normal after? Thanks in Advance x
