My 3 wk old baby still appears bunged up - the odd sneeze etc but mainly snoring whilst asleep and snorting when crying etc.

Is this normal?

He's breastfed so I thought babies who are don't get colds? Especially as nobody we know has a cold...

They all seem to get the snuggles in the first few weeks bf or not. I have no idea why only that all mine did too. Saline drops might help

Newborns are normally pretty stuffy and snorty. Try a few drops of saline in each nostril and using a sucker thing to suck some of it out. (I use one of those that has the tube attached to it that you use to actually suck it out of baby's nose. Much more effective than the bulbs the hospital gives out.)

Saline drops followed by the nosefrida really helps. My son is so stuffy sounding right before he wakes up everyday. I hate hearing it thinking that he is in agony but then when he is awake he breathes totally fine. There is some dry snot in his nose though so that is why I use the saying drops and nosefrida.
