Hi,

I haven't ventured out in public yet with George when he may need feeding so yesterday I went to Debenhams and bought 2 nursing bras (flip down flaps) and I went to H & M and bought 2 nursing tops (cross over style with a lift up bit underneath).

Anyway, I have put them on today to see if I can master being discreet but to be honest, I feel like I have too many flaps going on!! Its more complicated than I thought!

Should I just be wearing my nursing bra's with a normal top and then my nursing tops with a normal bra which I can just lift up with the flap of the top??

I hope this makes sense! Your advice would be greatly appreciated as I am determined to suceed at bfing!

I'd simply say normal tops and bras hun just pull bra up while top is still down and discreetly slip baby on as you move your top up. The baby will hide your stomach and boob! If added discretion is needed i highly recommend you buy a "hooter hider" (type ito google or ebay for a great price.) Good luck xxx

I wore a nursing bra with a vest top and then another top over the top. Bra comes down, vest top gets pulled down and normal top gets lifted up.

I just wear a nursing bra then pull my top up or down.. if people see a bit of boob who cares i dont stare when some one bottle feeds :) hehehe xx

I didn't NIP until a few weeks ago, the thought filled me with horror, now I don't know what I was so bothered about! I wear a nursing bra with a vest underneath a looser t-shirt/top. Undo the bra underneath the t shirt, pull the vest down and the t-shirt up, then LO's head covers the area of exposed boob. Now it's getting colder I can also wear a long cardigan for extra coverage at the sides.

A couple of times I've worn a dress with thin adjustable straps that I loosen and pull the dress down and wrap a muslin or thin blanket around my bra strap so everything is covered then pop LOs head under the blanket. Hope this helps!
