Some photos of me feeding my twincesses. I'm having to combi feed as I can't keep up with the both of them, but I'm feeling good that despite all the challenges we are still bf'ing! I bf, express and top up with formula. I admire women who DO ebf multiples and slightly jealous, but feel ok about the fact that I'm doing the best I can. I have cracked, bleeding nipples the last 2 days so I'm pumping and using nipple cream. Any advice?

Get some disposable breast pads, drench them in water, freeze, and place on nipples. Absolute heaven

Thanks I'll definitely try that I used frozen cabbage leaves with my son, also worked quite well! A huge relief for hot swollen jugs!

You are doing tremendously well feeding twins and they are absolutely beautiful. Topping up with formula is counter productive as you will produce less milk if you supplement. Re the cracked and bleeding nipples I found Kamillosan Chamomile Ointment amazing, hope you can buy it over there.

I have the flu!!! Doctor says to nurse him as much as I can so be will get antibodies through my milk and hopefully steer clear. He doesn't mind a bit. He loves his "booby juice".

I used Bennets Nipple Cream and muuuuuuuuch better today. Rubbed BM now as well for good measure. The girls are going through a major growth spurt and cluster feeding aloooot! I'm persevering

This is my son, Lucas. He's barely an hour old in this photograph, and is having his first ever feed. He was born on the 24/12/2012 via c-section due to being breech.

We hit two years yesterday and my brother said "you're supposed to stop breastfeeding when they're two" (Me and my mum put him straight with the "they can breastfeed as long as they want" )

I guess she is getting pretty massive though Are we the oldest nursers in here now? Haven't seen any "extended" pictures for some time

Yes, I am wearing a thick jumper (my husbands lol!) Labour was so fast I had felt a bit chilly for most of it and didnt have time to remove it when the urge to push came on!!

I know right! My mum tells me about the women at work who are telling one of the mothers (they work at a school) that she doesn't need to breastfeed past three months I hear about people saying six months or one year all the time and I always reiterate that it's recommended for at least two years (obviously, when possible)

Funny how it's usually the people who never breastfed themselves telling others when they should stop
