Coming up to ten months and finally going strong! Every time she latches on happily it feels like a small victory - as some may be aware, we struggled with an undiagnosed posterior tie and consistent nursing strikes that meant we could only dreamfeed for months. But at six months, we turned a corner and she will today breastfeed at any time, anywhere, in any position ...
I just to want to say to all the mums out there who feel like they can't carry on - things CAN change, even if it feels like there is no hope. And I want to thank my little girl for being as sweet as she is and doing her best with what she was given - for sticking with me and for keeping on trying, because we finally have the breastfeeding relationship we worked so hard for.
Feeling super proud this week as this is the age I gave up with dd1. I'm so pleased I know a lot more this time round and I've successfully overcome feeding strikes/ weight gain issues etc and we are still going strong! I've got no intention of stopping and LO is happy with the new feeding position she's found now she's too nosy to lie down!
