Hey I'm just worried about in the future.
I am giving up but if you smoked in the past does it affect the breast milk in anyway? x

Not at all - smoking will not affect your breast milk. Drinking alcohol or taking recreational drugs while feeding is a no no as it will transfer into your milk and then into your baby but what you have done before birth wont affect it at all.

Mine are always leaking, but when i touch them its abit stingy, is it supposed to be like that?

Ok thank youu x

Your ticker says you are 32 weeks pregnant - this is completely normal at this stage of pregnancy - your breasts are just adapting so that they can feed your baby. If they are really hurting you can buy gel pads that you wear in your bra and you can heat them up or put them in the fridge - they are also great for when your milk comes in properley after the birth

I really want to breastfeed
But quite a few of my friends have said that they can never get enough out to fill their baby, and that they always have to fill them up on formula

is this a normal thing to go through ? i was hoping to give my baby the full boob untill 3 months

x

No this is a common misconception. People think their babies arent getting enough because breastfed babies feed for longer and feed more often than a bottle fed baby. At thge start they can feed every 2 hours. It sounds like hard work but your baby gets the best and its best for you too. The feeds settle down after about 6 weeks and you will be in a proper feeding pattern. Its a bad idea to give formula because when a baby sucks from a bottle he/she sucks differently on the breast and it can confuse the baby. Also if you dont feed often enough your milk supply will start to dry up and it will get harder and harder to feed. Make sure after you have given birth you get plenty of professional support so it all goes smoothly, getting the attachment right is the hardest thing, if you get it right you wont get sore and your baby will feed well, get it wrong and you will end up very sore.

Good luck and good on you for making the best decision for you and your baby

im planning on breastfeeding for at least the first three months. i know every one is different what i would like to know is if it is ok to freeze your breastmilk? just incase i want to go and wet the babies head, obviously i wont be able to feed him/her after a night out and also he/she will need feeding whilst i am out.

Yeah you can freeze breastmilk for up to 6 months - although it will take a couple of weeks for your full milk supply to come in to have enough to express. I would leave it about 6 weeks as this is the hardest time
