Hi ladies - hoping you can help me =
I was here the other day, as in most days and was searching on breastfeeding, I came across this post where a mom posted this breastfeeding skin to skin top she had just ordered.

It was like a tank top/tube top shirt and you could take the strap around your neck off - the baby goes under the top for skin to skin and easy breastfeeding.

I can't find the thread and I can't find it online to order now!! can anyone help?

I honestly don't remember if I saw it on
3rd trimester
breastfeeding
baby club

Im hoping maybe one of you saw it or know what im talking about and can send me back there. I am very interested in maybe getting this top but now I can't find it. ughhhhh- pregnancy brain is killing me!

In 3rd trimester I think. It was called something like " good purchase" or something

I'm guessing 3rd tri as I often look on here and bf and didn't see it.

I googled kangaroo care shirt

YES!!!!!! OMG thats it! what do you ladies think of this? have you breastfed? should I buy it? thanks again!

i really hope to be able to breastfeed so want to do whatever i can. should i get it? bring to hospital?

Here is a website that has them. https://www.hipmommy.com/product-p/vdaa-0491b.htm

But personally, I don't think it would be that great. I'd get a wrap or sling or carrier that you really like because you'll get so much more use fromit

I wouldnt bother. Its easy enough to get into bed and do skin to skin or in a carrier.

really? thanks for responding, i was going to buy this.

I have this carrier for at home -
https://www.amazon.com/Beco-Gemini-...TF8&colid=2LZ2BSI111Z78&coliid=I2WGH9VEVWFT8V

I am a first time mom and totally clueless on what is best for me to have on hand to help with breastfeeding.............i really want to give it my best effort -

will i use this beco carrier for skin to skin?

I also really want to be successful at breastfeeding so i thought the other shirt might be "needed" -?
so you guys are saying i dont NEED to get the kangaroo shirt thing? and in hospital i can just lay her on my chest under any shirt? what did you do/wear?

i really appreciate any advice you can share/give.

THANK YOU!!!!!!!

Definitely don't need the shirt, I think that would take more effort then its worth. I just held baby on my chest, leaky boobs and all! However I liked having a housecoat that was big enough for me and baby. Just so I could stay warm and comfortable while having skin to skin contact, and have a way to easily cover up just in case. My baby was born in the winter, and it was cold out!

It's cute but I don't think I bother either TBH. You don't really NEED anything, I would invest in a few easy access nursing tops like THIS which will get you started when you want to go out. I spent the first few weeks pretty much I'll time in button down nighties, nursing pjs or naked sat on the couch with baby permantly attached to boob.

If you're wanting to babywear and breastfeed in the first few weeks I would recommend a stretchy wrap (such as a moby, M&Ps flo etc). The beco gemini is a soft structure carrier and although you can put a newborn in one (with an insert and froggy legged) you'd probably find it easier positioning to feed in a stretchy. I would wait until they a little older to put them in the beco but it really just personal preference.

Good luck

THANK YOU LADIES!!!! So much to buy and you just saved me some $$,

Cbaby - i just ordered some nursing pj's - and nursing bras cheap from walmart. i figure i'll wear those at hospital and around house and see how it goes and order more if needed.

im guessing i'll pump too so DH can take some feedings so we will see. Im still unsure of how it will go when i go out with her, will it be easier to
1) feed her pumped milk from bottle
or
2) wear nursing top and feed her from breast while im out?

who knows!! anyway, thanks again
