ok so i've only just started looking, but so fair it seems to be the biggest head ache ever!!

so i want something, gorgeous, yet comfortable! does this even exist??

so where has everyone else been looking for their wedding shoes?? i've seen some nice things in debenhams, and looked in faith today, but they are way to high!!

:help:

are you set on heels??

I'm going with flat, silver sandals.

In the back of wedding mags they have tons of websites for shoes, some of them are quite good with loads of diff styles.

I think im just gonna wear heels everywhere for weeks leading up to it, and wear my wedding shoes round the house until they dont hurt

oh pnut i love them! but i think with my dress a need a least a small heal :dohh:

thanks for the tip kim, i think i'm going to buy some bridal mags today :D and yes definitely wear them around the house before :D

What's your budget?

Rainbow Club do a wide selection which aren't too bad price wise.

i was having a look at them hon, they stocked them in the shop i have brought my dress from :) and i saw some nice ones on line too, from there range :D

tbh i don't have a budget, it's just what i like and what goes and is comfortable :D

Well if you don't have a budget, I do actually really recommend Gina shoes (now stop laughing :winkwink:) They are without a doubt my most comfy pairs of heels I own, my feet never hurt in them and I can wear them for hours without even a mark.

But I also loved the Rainbow ones, tried a pair of ivory peep toes when I was trying on dresses! The dresses kept coming on and off but the shoes stayed on the whole time, very comfy. When I was choosing shoes, I also contemplated my old pointe shoes..different and comfy I figured.

I also had a pair of white fluffy slippers which I changed in to towards the end of the night..not because I needed to, just because I was determined to wear the flipping things as I'd bought them specifically for my wedding (shoe obsession much..).

Have you looked at Office? Or Schuh? I always find New Look shoes really comfy too - cheap and cheerful but stand up well to the abuse I give them. They always have some pretty heels (not going out like) in our local shop, may be worth taking a look online.

you know what? During Church, if my dress covers my shoes, I'm either going to wear flat shoes or trainers! (But admittedly I do have nerve damage in my feet and legs, so...)

Try BHS hun thats where I got mine for in the sale for £6!! xx

I got mine in New Look, they were about £20 I think. I added straps to them to stop them slipping and wore them in round the house for a few months before (apparantly if your shoes are light coloured you can wear a pair of H2B's socks over them to protect them from dirt).

Can't get a pic to upload but there is one here:

I also brought a pair of "comfy" sequinned flats from Next for the evening (£26) to dance in but ironically it was these ones which gave me blisters!

thank you soooo much everyone! all so helpful! i'm going to be going everywhere you've all mentioned now

Just popping in as this thread caught my eye... wedding shoes were a huge debate for me this time last year. I finally settled on a pair of Next shoes - which to be honest, were great.

However, I would highly recommend having a look here - even if it's only to drool! If I didn't have to keep a close eye on money, I'd have certainly got a pair, and then dyed them a more 'functional' colour afterwards....

Enjoy!

ooo thanks for the link hon! they are gorgeous! xx

I will deffo be wearing flat shoes as i have a old leg injury that means i cant walk in heels as my ankle loses balance and i dnt wanna be "falling" down the aisle! lol.

I am unsure what to do about shoes though, as my dress is bright red and il be wearing a faux fur white shrug... any ideas girls??

i got my shoes from barrats. gold n creme with dimonte's, still wear them with pale trousers or dresses for going out

I had to wear flats as my OH is only an inch taller than me so that took a lot of shoes out of the question, but then I got pg so I HAVE to wear them LOL

I've got some gorgeous leopard print pumps from Faith that'll look awesome with my red dress and leopard print fascinator!
