Bridesmaid ... what to do?

We have asked SIL and my sister to be bridesmaid.

When I asked SIL I text and said would you like to be bridesmaid and all I got back was:

'Yeah. Thanks'

Personally I think she could have been a bit more enthusiastic. Anyway I mentioned this to MIL and she said that she is a bit off coz her and her partner are currently TTC and she had just had her period so was feeling down. So I thought fair enough.

I have recently mentioned to OH that we never see SIL even though she only lives 2 mins drive away literally. MIL just keeps saying that SIL is busy at work and when she's not she's spending her time with her OH (bearing in mind her OH doesnt work and she only works 3-4 nights a week) They never bother coming down to see the kids or us we always have to go to them and I'm fed up of it.

And I have just recently realised that if she is going to be bridemsaid what if she gets pregnant??

I already know which dresses I am getting and they aren't maternity dresses so what do I do? Im not changing my dresses just coz she wants a baby and I dont want 2 bridesmaids in different dresses.

What would you do?

i would sit her down for an honest talk and ask her about it.

Tell her that if she gets pregnant she will have to pay for her own mat dress that matches your current ones?

i would probably sit down and have a good chat with her honey, see exactly what her plans are, and explain your situation :hugs: x xx

Same as PP. I've told my bridesmaids if they gain or loose weight then they can buy their own, fair enough mine are only costing like £25 but still!

yeah sit her down and just ask her, my bridesmaids are buying their own so if anything happens they are in charge of changing the dress (bigger size)

Sisters and sister and laws always seem to be strange creatures when weddings are involved!

My sister makes me feel guilty all the time about me getting married and having a baby cos shes recently single (shes younger than me as well) but she will get her time and this is a once in a lifetime thing and I know when she gets married she will be sooo demanding!

As for you kimboowee, where did you find dresses for £25?! Let me know lol xx

They're only from new look thats how they're cheap, Im not a big fan of traditional dresses and nowhere else had the colour I wanted. Can't complain for that price though!
