Just got my BFP on the 7th. Today I am 3 weeks 2 days. When I went to the bathroom this morning there was bright red blood when I wiped & I have a bit of cramping. I took another test & it showed good progression. Should I be worried? I know spotting is normal, but the fact that it's bright red has me concerned.

Id stick your feet up and rest a bit hun, bright red spotting isnt great but the test lines getting stronger is a good thing

Hun, try not to worry too much!
I have been spotting since 4 weeks every day and now nearly 8 weeks!

I had bright red spotting at 12-13dpo with ds1 x

It can be hard to tell. Unfortunately the lines getting darker doesn't mean your definitely out of the woods (so to speak). Others are right that even bright red spotting isn't necessarily a sign of miscarriage but do keep an eye on it. I had a miscarriage at a later stage that you are now (I was nine weeks) and when I went back to the early pregnancy unit two weeks after the miscarriage when they tested my urine sample it still showed HCG - although the levels were obviously lower than they had been.

I had spotting with my last pregnancy and all was fine - just try and rest and if it continues try to get scheduled for an early scan. Unfortunately it's too early yet as they really won't be able to see anything useful on a scan at this stage. Also if you're that early on it could just be implantation bleeding? I had it just before my bfp this time round.

Sorry if this is a silly question... But can implantation bleeding happen AFTER a definite positive test?

I don't think so. I believe your body doesn't produce the hormones detected using a pregnancy test until the embryo has implanted. I hope everything is ok Sn0wbunnie!

I should add though, that there can be many reasons for bleeding, and many women do experience bleeding and have perfectly healthy pregnancies. Also, it's possible to have implantation bleeding after a BFP if you conceive a twin some time after the first... I have a friend who conceived her girls over a week apart!
